Occupy London is an ongoing peaceful protest and demonstration against economic inequality, social injustice, corporate greed and the influence of companies and lobbyists on government taking place in London, United Kingdom, which started on 15 October 2011. The protests began in solidarity with the    Occupy Wall Street protests in New York, United States. The protests have established two encampments in the City of London, one outside St Paul's Cathedral and the other in Finsbury Square.

Hail the Youth Jarrow March!

Youth march for Jobs, Education and a decent Future

YOUNG people from all over England  are following in the footsteps of their forefathers by recreating the Jarrow crusade of 1936.. It is 75 years since about 200 men walked to London from South Tyneside in a plea for jobs after the Palmer’s shipyard, in Jarrow, closed, leaving a large number of  families in poverty. It is a re-enactment of the famous 1936 crusade. Over 50 young people started  the march  protesting about high youth unemployment, Government cuts to Education Maintenance Allowance and the hike in tuition fees
